3 Things to do in Victoria this March
Planning a trip to Victoria this March?
There are plenty of things to get up to in our city - like the countless hiking trails, museums, Parliament buildings, parks, and a brunch game that rivals the best. If you’re interested in a full list of activities, feel free to check out Tourism Victoria.
However, we have to touch on three of our favourite things to do in Victoria in March.
This building has deeply rooted history in both the City of Victoria, and Canadian retail. Built in the early 1900s and opened in 1921, it was the centre of Victoria’s shopping district. Now converted into a unique, one-stop shopping experience that’s rich in history and character. Featuring a wide variety of locally-sourced, farm-fresh foods, specialty and gourmet options, and live entertainment - there is always something to see or try. Located blocks away from the inner harbour, the Public Market is an easy inclusion to your day in the city.
Hours: Monday-Saturday from 10-6, Sunday from 10-5
Set your inner superhero free! Or, meet a few of your favourites. This convention aims to celebrate a love for comic books, or comic-based movies and TV, and is for fans of all ages. From guest appearances by your favourite stars (check out their website to see who) to a cosplay contest, this event caters to your inner geek. We’re less than 10 minutes away, so if you need a place to stay - we’ve got you covered.
Event runs: March 20-22, 2020 at the Victoria Conference Centre & Crystal Garden

What can we say about this one? Bring your camera, or just enjoy the beautiful colours as the onset of Spring brings a shower of soft, pink cherry blossoms. This attraction is simple to enjoy, all you need to do is go for a walk. However, if you’d one walk won’t quite fill your cherry blossom quota, check out this list of top 30 locations from Victoria Buzz. Comfort Inn is pet friendly, so your furry family members can join you too.
Pick your pink: Dark pink blossoms usually bloom from February to March, light pink from April to May. Find a full interactive map of cherry blossoms in the city above, or here.
